Northern NJ SAFEKIDS/Safe Communities Fall Newsletter 2012 Fall 2012 Newsletter Highlights: Child Passenger Safety Week 2012 Get the FACTS on Distracted Driving National Fire Prevention Week (October 7-13)  Safe Kids Northern NJ and Morristown Medical Center’s Trauma Service is hosting the 2013 Ski/Snowboard Helmet Logo Contest.  Our Winter Hats Off for Helmet Campaign culminated with a celebration of our Ski / Snowboard helmet Logo Winners at the Hidden Valley Resort on February 26, 2012.  Safe Kids Northern NJ and Morristown Medical Center’s Trauma Service is hosting the 2012 Ski / Snowboard Helmet Logo Contest.  Mouth Guard Night at the NJ Devils vs San Jose Sharks Join us on Friday, February 11 at the Devils Game as Safe Kids New Jersey celebrates National Children’s Dental Health Month with 'Mouth Guard Night'. All kids under 16 years of age will receive a free custom fit mouth guard courtesy of Henry Schein.  Never Leave Your Child Alone in the Car Make it a habit to check the back seat every time you exit. Make it a point to never leave your child alone in a car, even for one minute.

Changes to the Graduated Driver License (GDL) Law On May 1, 2010, the requirements for all teens (16-20 years of age) holding a permit or provisional license under New Jersey's Graduated Driver License (GDL) Law, will change.

Cycling-related deaths and injuries are rising in New Jersey and cyclists from around the state are coming together to address this disturbing trend. On Saturday, 27 February 2010, the New Jersey Bicycle Coalition (NJBC), in co-operation with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), will host the first New Jersey Bicycle Summit in Denville, NJ.  C.H.A.S.E. for Life proudly presents, "How to Save a Life", an 18 minute animated instructional film that will educate you in basic lifesaving skills for FREE. |
