Chester First Aid Squad Hosts Car Seat Inspection Station for 10 years!

At the January 2019 squad meeting, the Chester First Aid Squad was honored by Northern NJ Safe Kids / Safe Communities for 10 years of hosting one of two Morris County Child Passenger Safety Stations. 

Whe we started the cooperative venture on January 15, 2009, we saw a few residents come in to the station to have their car seat inspected. 

Now, 10 years later we average inspecting 32 car seats a month. This effort would not have been accomplished with the vision of 10 years of leadership of the Chester First Aid Squad and the dedication of 3 local Car Seat Inspection Technicians. Jackie Leach, Lori Cawley and Chris Champi have been there from the start. 

Northern NJ Safe Kids / Safe Communities was honored to present Chester First Aid Squad President Rusty Champi and Chief Jason Dilly with a plaque to commemorate this milestone.
