Mt. Lakes Walk to School

Mt. Lakes NJ, takes walking to school seriously. Sgt Gil Benitez, coordinates the Walk to School Day each year. On Oct. 11th, 2022 nearly 100 children and parents walked to school. Sgt. Gil reviews pedestrian safety with the children 

prior to the event. The kindergarten children also have the  Police and Fire Chief read Clifford walks to school in class. "Many residents walk, run and ride through Mt. Lakes. It is important for the children to learn how to do it safely" , says Sgt. Gil.
