Even though we are at our mid summer calander date, Northern New Jersey has been buzzing with Safety Town Programs to prepare the new Kindergarten classes for school.
In the USA, the 4th of July is a federal holiday. Though fireworks and 4th of July activities are usually celebrated on the actual date - if the 4th of July falls on a Sunday, the federal observed holiday is the following Monday.
A Passion for Child Passenger Safety!
Last week Northern NJ Safe Kids / Safe Communities hosted a Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Class Technician Class that certified 28 new CPS Techs.
2023 Hats off for Helmets Campaign brought out he creativity of our "snow lovers" in our Middle and High School logo contest.
This year we had over 150 entries. The students were creative in their art work and the tag lines that were utilized.

Beginning on Monday January 23, 2023 the Sparta Car Seat Inspection Station will be held at the Sparta Fire House at 141 Woodport Rd in Sparta.

Northern NJ Safe Kids / Safe Communities has opened its annual Hats off for Helmets Campaign for 2023.
Our goal is to raise awareness to helmet use when participating in winter sports.

Mt. Lakes NJ, takes walking to school seriously. Sgt Gil Benitez, coordinates the Walk to School Day each year. On Oct. 11th, 2022 nearly 100 children and parents walked to school. Sgt. Gil reviews pedestrian safety with the children
